I’m speaking of a disciplined prayer life inspired by the fact that you know you need Him more than food, water and air, so that He’s the first thing you reach for in the morning, the last thing you reach for at night and everything you reach for in between. I’m talking about blood stain sacrifice where you give up stuff for Him so that you can discover that His glory can’t even be compared to the pain of you letting go of the stuff you thought was all that. What releases the Holy Ghost in the fullness of power is the arrival at the increasing level of stuff you can live without. For this condition of being without builds strength of spirit, molds character and creates pathways for God’s power and blessing.
"EVERYBODY NEEDS PERFECTING"
This has been a lesson for me in ministry. Everybody needs healing in one way or another. Some of the most charismatic, committed and critically acclaimed folks within the Kingdom and outside of it are the most in need. Never think that people who do big things somehow don’t still need God to do big things in them.
"EAGLES GET READY TO SOAR"
Some others live dormant lives in a mundane and meaningless existence without vigor, vibrance or vitality. They rise and fall with the sun every day but never see or experience the light and glow of God break upon their lives. Still others are in churches sitting in pews, standing at pulpits, wearing choir robes, serving within the Kingdom, yet cooped up. They fail to walk in the fullness of the power of the blessing of God which is what it means to fly. They’re eagles. They’re just cooped up. Where’s your coop? What’s his name? What does she do that sends you there? About how long does it preoccupy you a day, a week, a month, a year? And where could you be now if you hadn’t been cooped up?
When are you going to release yourself from the coops God has already delivered you from? When are you going to loose yourself from people, places and things which do not inspire you nor aspire to fly themselves? Stop hanging out with spiritual flunkies who help to cage you in and dry you out! For you see, there is human involvement in preparation for your flight.
"IT'S GOD'S TURN NOW"
Someone who is reading this little book is grieving from the loss of friends or the transition to a new ministry. Someone has broken off old relationships in search of new power. Someone right now is heartbroken and disillusioned at what appears to be loss of stuff around you when in reality this is God’s time to move in you like never before. Just maybe for somebody reading this, everything has changed and just about everybody’s gone.
If you look around and there’s nobody left except you and God, well, shout Hallelujah! God may be telling you, “It’s My Turn Now!!!”
"LISTENING TO THE CALL OF YOUR DESTINY"
It is quite possible that you are an Elijah, purposed for such awesome and unique deeds and ways that there exists no one around you who is flowing in such a way that is harmonious to who you are becoming. You may very well have to cease and desist your search for those who would reinforce God’s creative work which is you, and just proceed to write your own manual.
You may just be an original!
"IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO SOAR"
And because you have been chosen in His pre-ordained plans to receive the rich heritage of God’s spiritual gifts and calling, as long as you’ve got breath remaining in your flesh, you’ve got opportunity to show up at Daddy’s house to receive your inheritance. The door is not shut on you. The banquet is not over. The table is still spread. Your inheritance is still waiting. And Daddy’s still home.
"GOD HAS A PLACE FOR YOU TOO"
For those of us who know what it means to be the Jacob of the house, take courage. There are going to be persons who disagree with your destiny, misunderstand your mission, challenge your choices and attack your tactics. Part of it will be because they weren’t there in the womb, the private place, where the God of compassion told you that He has a place for you, too.
